Plumage DetailsAdult males have a dark brown head with a prominent white supercilium (eyebrow stripe) and a rosy-red throat. The underparts are rosy-red, fading to pinkish on the belly. The back is streaked dark brown and rosy. Wings are dark brown with two distinct white wing-bars and white spots on the tertials. Females and immatures are duller, mostly streaked brown with less prominent markings.
