Plumage DetailsThis species exhibits incredibly bright and varied plumage. The back is emerald green, the breast is a rich purple, and the belly is bright yellow. The head can be red (as pictured), black, or yellow, typically bordered by a black face mask and a turquoise-blue band on the nape. The rump is bright blue, and the beak is whitish with a red/orange tip.
