Plumage DetailsAdult males are spectacular with an iridescent sky-blue head, back, and wings. The throat, breast, and belly are a deep, rich maroon, separated from the lower blue belly by a distinct iridescent blue band across the lower breast. Primary feathers are black.

Description
The Banded Cotinga is a medium-sized, strikingly colored bird endemic to the Atlantic Forest of Brazil. Males display brilliant iridescent blue and deep maroon plumage, often perching silently in the forest canopy to feed on fruits.
