Plumage DetailsAdult males are predominantly deep vinous-red or crimson, with a distinctive bright white supercilium extending from the lore to behind the eye. The wings are dark brown with reddish edgings and two faint wing-bars. Females are duller, brownish-olive with streaking and lack the prominent white supercilium.
