Plumage DetailsUpperparts are olive-brown, with a rufous-brown rump and tail. The head is olive-brown with a pale buffy supercilium and a dark eyeline. Underparts are buffy-white to yellowish, heavily streaked and spotted with black or dark brown, particularly on the breast, creating a distinctive speckled pattern. Flanks are olive-brown.

Description
The Speckle-breasted Antpitta is a small, terrestrial bird of the humid lowland forests. It is typically found foraging on the forest floor, often in dense undergrowth, where it searches for insects and other invertebrates.
