Plumage DetailsDark brown crown and upperparts, with a prominent white supercilium and dark eyestripe. Whitish throat and breast, streaked brown on the breast and flanks. Rufous-brown lower belly. Dark wings with a rufous-chestnut wingbar and white patch at the base of primaries. Dark tail with rufous outer feathers.
Vocalization / CallA series of sharp, high-pitched 'tseet' or 'tchip' notes, often given in flight. Also a trilling song.

Description
A medium-sized, terrestrial ovenbird endemic to the high Andes of Argentina. It forages actively along the edges of mountain streams and wetlands, often flicking its tail while searching for invertebrates.
