Plumage DetailsAdults have dark brown upperparts with a greenish sheen. The underparts are whitish to buff, heavily barred with dark brown, particularly on the belly, flanks, and underwing coverts. The very long tail and broad wings are distinctly barred with alternating dark and pale bands. The head is relatively small and dark, often with a pale face and bright yellow eyes.
