Description
The Greater Flamingo is the largest and most widespread species of flamingo. Adults have pale pinkish-white plumage, with bright red wing coverts and black primary and secondary flight feathers, which are most noticeable in flight. They possess a distinctive large, downward-curved pink bill with a black tip, and long pink legs. Juveniles are greyish-brown with a paler belly and a less developed bill coloration.
