Plumage DetailsMales feature a black cap, pale yellow forehead, turquoise-blue face and breast, grey back and wings with a prominent golden-yellow patch on the shoulder, and an orange lower belly. The long tail is blue-green. Females are duller overall.
Vocalization / CallVocalizations include soft, high-pitched, reedy 'chwit-chwit' or 'tew-tew' calls, often given in flight or when disturbed. They also produce a soft chattering sound.
