Plumage DetailsThis species features a brilliant golden-yellow hood covering the crown and nape, contrasted by a black mask extending from the lores through the eye. A bright blue patch is visible below the eye and on the chin. The back, wings, and underparts are predominantly black, with iridescent turquoise-blue shoulders and rump, and green streaking on the tertials.
