Description

Adélie Penguins are medium-sized, stocky penguins characterized by their distinctive black and white plumage and a prominent white ring around each eye. They are highly social birds, often found in large breeding colonies on the rocky, ice-free coasts of Antarctica, as seen in the image. These birds are well-adapted to their cold environment, spending much of their lives in and around the frigid Antarctic waters.
