Plumage DetailsThe White-faced Quail-Dove has a pale gray to white face bordered by a prominent black stripe from the lores to behind the eye. Its nape and hindneck are rufous-chestnut with iridescent purplish-green scaling, while the back and wings are purplish-brown to rufous-brown. The underparts are buffy-white, becoming more rufous on the flanks.
