Plumage DetailsMales are uniformly dark grey to blackish on the head, back, and upper breast, with fine, pale grey and white barring on the lower breast, belly, and undertail coverts. The wings and tail are dark. Females are similar but may have slightly paler underparts. Juveniles exhibit more extensive barring.
