Plumage DetailsAdult Verdins have a distinctive bright yellow head and throat, contrasting with a dull gray body. They possess a small, reddish-chestnut patch on the bend of the wing (carpal joint), which can be difficult to see. Juveniles are duller and lack the yellow head.
