Plumage DetailsMales feature a prominent red crest, while females have a black crest with white streaks. Both sexes display a vibrant golden-yellow back and wings, a black rump and tail, and a head and neck patterned with black and white stripes. The throat is whitish with fine black spots or streaks, and the underparts are whitish with black scaling.
