Plumage DetailsThis babbler has warm rufous-brown to olive-brown upperparts, with a slightly darker crown. Its underparts are whitish on the throat and belly, often showing a buff or rufous wash on the flanks and breast sides. A pale supercilium (eyebrow stripe) and a dark loral stripe (from bill to eye) are present, and its distinctive bill is dark on the upper mandible and paler on the lower.
