Plumage DetailsPredominantly brilliant scarlet red, with a band of bright yellow on the upperwing coverts, followed by blue flight feathers. The lower back and rump are also blue. The long, tapering tail feathers are red with blue tips. It has a bare white facial patch, often with small lines of red feathers.
