Plumage DetailsHighly variable, but typically features a dark brown back and upperwings, a pale underside with a distinctive dark belly band, and a rufous (reddish-brown) tail in adults. Juveniles have a banded tail. The individual in the image shows a pale breast with a streaked belly band, typical of a light morph.
