Plumage DetailsOverall sooty brown to dark grey, with a contrasting pale greyish-white face and forehead. The crown and area around the eye are darker. Underparts are slightly paler than the upperparts. The bill is entirely black and robust.
Vocalization / CallVocalizations include a series of 'kek-kek-kek' or 'ti-ti-ti' calls, often given at night around breeding colonies. They also produce whirring or wailing sounds.

Description
The Providence Petrel is a large, dark-plumaged seabird with a distinctive pale face and a stout black bill. It spends most of its life at sea, returning to remote oceanic islands to breed in burrows.
