Plumage DetailsUpperparts are heavily streaked with dark brown and rufous-brown, extending to the crown and nape. Underparts are whitish to buffy, also heavily streaked with dark brown, particularly on the breast and flanks. It features a pale supercilium, a rufous wing panel, and a rufous tail.
Vocalization / CallVocalizations include a rapid, high-pitched trill or churr, often delivered as a series of accelerating notes. It can also produce sharp 'chip' calls.

Description
The Many-striped Canastero is a small, streaky brown bird found in high-altitude grasslands and shrublands of the Andes. It typically forages on the ground or in low vegetation, often flicking its tail as it moves. Its cryptic plumage provides excellent camouflage in its open, grassy habitat.
