Plumage DetailsMales are exceptionally colorful, featuring a black head with bright yellow supercilium and crown stripe, and a fiery orange nape. The throat and breast are black with a broad yellow band, while the upperparts are rufous-brown. The underparts are black with prominent orange and black barring on the flanks, a white wing bar, and a bright blue rump and tail. Females are generally duller.

Description
