Plumage DetailsThe plumage is predominantly black and white, with a distinctive long, narrow black tail edged with white. The head is typically white, often with black stripes running from the bill over the eye to the nape, though some subspecies have entirely white heads. The back is black, and the underparts are whitish with varying amounts of pinkish wash on the flanks and rump.
Vocalization / CallVocalizations include a high-pitched, trilling 'tsee-tsee-tsee' or 'srih-srih-srih' contact call, often given continuously by members of a flock. They also have a sharper 'churr' alarm call.

Description
