Description

The Little Owl is a small, stocky owl with a flattened head and bright yellow eyes. It is often seen perching conspicuously during the day, bobbing its head when alert. Unlike many owls, it is largely diurnal and crepuscular, actively hunting during daylight hours as well as dusk and dawn.
