Description
The Rock Dove, commonly known as the Feral Pigeon in its domesticated and wild-hybridized forms, is a widespread and highly adaptable bird. This individual displays a distinctive reddish-pink wash over its head, neck, and upper breast, fading into a lighter pinkish-grey on its back and wings, with a contrasting white belly. Its eyes are reddish, and its legs and feet are a matching reddish-pink. This particular coloration is a common variant found in feral populations, often resulting from selective breeding or genetic diversity within urban flocks.
