Plumage DetailsUpperparts are dull greenish-grey, becoming brighter green on the rump. Underparts are pale greyish-green. The crown and nape are bright red. It has a black mask around the eye and a prominent black malar stripe (moustache), which in males contains a red center. The bill is dark with a yellowish base to the lower mandible.
