Plumage DetailsMales have an iridescent dark blue to violet head, upper breast, and back. A narrow white band separates the upper breast from the bright yellow lower breast and belly. The undertail is finely barred black and white, and the orbital ring is yellow. The bill is pale bluish-white. Females are duller, with a grey head and breast and a less vibrant yellow belly.

Description
