Plumage DetailsThis species exhibits highly variable and brilliant plumage. The back and wings are bright green, the breast is purple, and the belly is yellow. The rump is bright blue. The head can be red (as seen in the image), black, or yellow, each bordered by a narrow black band and a turquoise-blue nape. The beak is pale pinkish-white with a red tip.
