Plumage DetailsMales have rich rufous underparts, flanks, and rump. The head is distinctly patterned with a black crown and nape heavily streaked with white, and a prominent white supercilium. Wings are black with two distinct white wing-bars and white spotting on the coverts, along with a noticeable white patch on the shoulder (scapulars). The tail is black with white tips. Females are similar but may have slightly duller markings.
