Plumage DetailsThe male Crimson-backed Sunbird has a glossy metallic green crown, iridescent violet-purple throat and upper breast, a broad crimson band across the back, dark wings and tail, and a whitish lower breast and belly. A small patch of iridescent blue is visible on the rump/flanks.
