Plumage DetailsThe head is black with a broad white supercilium extending from above the eye to the nape. The upperparts are dark slate-grey to blackish, featuring a distinctive iridescent blue patch on the lesser wing coverts (shoulder). The rump and outer tail feathers are rufous-orange, contrasting with the dark central tail. Underparts are bright orange, fading slightly towards the vent. It has a black bill, dark eyes, and dark legs.
