Plumage DetailsBreeding males feature a distinctive solid black cap, bright white cheeks, and a white throat. Their back is heavily streaked black and white, while the underparts are white with prominent black streaks on the flanks. They also display two bold white wing bars and yellowish legs. Females and non-breeding males are duller, often yellowish-green above and yellowish below, with less distinct streaking.
