Plumage DetailsAdults have a glossy black head, nape, and upperparts (mantle), which contrast sharply with the rich rufous underparts, thighs, and underwing coverts. The tail is blackish. It has bright yellow legs and cere, and distinctive orange-red eyes. Juveniles are duller, with brownish-black upperparts and paler rufous underparts, sometimes with faint barring.

Description
