Plumage DetailsThe plumage is predominantly glossy black on the head, neck, underparts, and wings. The back, rump, and upper tail coverts are a rich chestnut. The tail is black with bright yellow outer rectrices. It has a prominent conical bill that is pale blue-grey at the base and transitions to a bright orange-red tip. A bare, pinkish-white patch surrounds the eye and extends to the gape.
